You set my feet to dancing, you set my heart on fire

One of those moments in life that I hope I will never, ever forget.
We were visiting remote house fellowships that are springing up in Kenyan villages (thanks to diligent Pastor Paul), and when we arrived at this one, they were dancing. It was one of those days when you are ashamed for complaining... ever.

Puddle jumping

I've just spent another 5 weeks in the Marshall Islands. This trip was an incredible one. I wish I could relate in words what I had the opportunity to see and do, but I don't think its possible.

I could tell you stories of boys so sold out for Jesus, they sleep on the concrete floor of the church all together, rising to bless the Lord in the morning, singing themselves happy when there is no food and their hungry, casting the devil out, and loving each other with a pure and holy love, and then on their knees before God in absolute adoration and love for Him.

I could tell you stories of families who have nothing, and are happier than the richest Americans I know.

I could tell you stories of missionaries and pastors who are pouring their heart and soul out for the soul cause of saving souls, and setting people free- without any cameras, any recognition, or much support.

I could tell you stories of believing God daily for water to drink and food to eat, and clothes to wear, and about how He has always come through, and never failed. And I could tell you about the joy that comes from knowing you can trust Him completely with all of those natural needs and live free of burdens of this world.

I could tell you stories of outer island services, underneath thatch overhangs and dirt floors, where the manifest presence of God comes down so strong that people cannot do anything but weep.

I could tell you stories.

Well, its on from today and onto tomorrow. Africa, where the eyes of my heart and the ears of my understanding were opened. I am thankful for your prayers, and thankful for the opportunities I have to go. My heart is so full.

Be blessed, and know that you are making a difference.

Leaving again...

The blog has re-emerged. Streamlined and simplified, it still remains a way to keep tabs on where I am and what I am doing.

In the past 6 months, I have been in the South Pacific, South America, North America, and never-never land. I am now headed back to the Marshall Islands for a month, and from there will be headed to Kenya.

Right now in the Marshalls, they are experiencing unusually high tides, which have been beating the sides of the already weary islands. The missionary and his family recently constructed a seawall, which has prevented major loss to the compound and house structure. But there are others on the island not as fortunate. The excess water + termite damage caused the school's roof to cave. With school starting in just a few days, they are rushing to fix it. The tides have also created electricity instability (more than usual), as the power source is located on a particularly vulnerable location on the island. I'm told that Christmas programs had to be rescheduled a few times because of blackouts. Besides that, everything else is okay!

The ministry also owns a radio station, which is currently trying to get online. Its taking training, manpower, money, and time- and my hope is to help with this effort. Some of the students from the Bible training school- future pastors- are being trained to DJ and technically support the station.

After this, I will be travelling to Kenya to the Kenya Bible Training Institute, another fine Pastoral training center, to aid the Africans in youth crusades and some other ministry endeavors. I will write again from the islands.
Ciao for now,
